Auto Url Rewriting for Categories and Products on 5.5

I am working on a new E-Commerce Client we have and their SEO company is looking for some changes to the URL Rewrite portion of the site. We have Categories that we want to Auto Rewrite and that part is working fine however we do not want the prefix as part of the URL or a dummy Top Category which we had to set up for specific reasons. For example the URL Rewrite Category is: http://test.test.com/Dep...ans/Round-Cake-Pans.aspx and we would like it to be http://test.test.com/Bak...ans/Round-Cake-Pans.aspx .. is this possible? The same goes for products ... we would like http://test.test.com/Pro...5x2-CAKEPAN__111000.aspx to be http://test.test.com/HEA...5x2-CAKEPAN__111000.aspxI tried leaving the Prefix blank, but this did not work. I also tried removing the dummy category (Product-Categories) from the stored procedure and that just produced a 404 error. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You will probably need to make changes to the URL rewriter code in the Core. |
