Relatively new to BV Commerce, using Toolkit version 5.6, trying to learn the ins-and-outs of everything.


Biggest issue right now is that I want to use Inventory Control to track inventory on some items that can be sold separately or together (e.g. plastic cups & the lids that go on the cups).



Want the "base" item to be a SET (kit?) of 5 cups & 5 lids together, then give customer option to change qty of sets to 10 (cups & lids), 25, or maybe 50.



Been playing with the Product Variations (drop-down lists, radio buttons), but cannot figure out how to set things up so that proper qty of each piece (i.e. a cup and a lid) is removed from inventory as desired.



Is setting up a KIT ITEM the best way to accomplish this?



Is there any place I can get a thorough explanation on how to use all the features of Inventory (and the rest of BV Commerce, for that matter)? The only "Help" I've found is the online user manual at http://www.bvsoftware.com/BVCommerce5Manual/ and frankly I find that somewhat inadequate.



Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!!!
