What Happens: When you add a product to the cart that has cross sells, it shows the AdditionalProductAccessories.aspx page with no crossells listed.
What Should Happen: When you add a product to a cart that has cross sells, it shows the AdditionalProductAccessories.aspx page with crossells listed.
Why Should This Happen: When you have crossells for a product, "Redirect To Shopping Cart After Item Is Added" and "Display Cross Sells When Adding Item To Cart" ticked in the admin.
When Does This Happen: So far I noticed that this only occurs when a product has a "Free Promo Item" marketing offer. Whenever any of my products have a free promo item and gets added to the cart, it shows the additional accessory page with no cross sells listed. ALSO... If you add the same product to the cart a second time (by navigating to the product and not clicking the link to the product from the cart), the cross sells do get displayed correctly.
I've checked other products without offers and the cross sells also gets displayed correctly. Any reason why offers would not allof crossells to be displayed on the additional accessory page?
On a side note, does anyone even use the additional accessory page?
