Sorry if this is not the best place to ask this but I have been a long time user of BV5 (BVC2004) and am wondering if anyone has any feedback on Canadian Merchant Account providers & Gateways. I have in the past used Global Payments as my merchant account and PayPal's PayFlow Pro as the gateway which worked great except that I put my site on hold for about 10 months and had cancelled my accounts. Now that I am wanting to get going again Global Payments does not want to re-instate my account due to the nature of my business which is Online Tickets sales and event registration...like a TicketMaster. I have been in business for almost 10 years with the exact same business model and was a customer with Global for 4 years until I cancelled my account. They say there are just too many chargebacks in the industry.

Anyhow I am presently using PayPal's Website payments Pro however the 2.9% discount rate and $0.30/transaction charge are pretty steep since my average service charge/revenue per ticket is a $1.00 and therefore I lose 30% of my revenue on the per transaction charge alone. My deal with Global was previously 1.8% and no per transaction charge......

Any suggestions on a good service?
