Is there a way to set a "maximum on the qty field for a given product? I believe you can set a minimum....what about a maximum?
Thanks, Derek |

Do you need to be able to set this value on a per-product basis? If not, you could just modify the product template by adding a range validator. If that won't work then you will need to add another field to your product which will require a developer. |

We have a Max Items Per Order Option in MerchantTribe but no version of BV Commerce or MerchantTribe currently has a "max" amount per item.

Thanks Aaron & Marcus!
What I am trying to accomplish is this....I have an event registration that collects about 5 user input fields of information about the attendee and then they add to cart. The problem is that it is possible for someone to input the info for the first attendee but select a qty of 2 and add to cart and checkout thinking they are done....even though they haven't provided the details for the 2nd attendee.
As a fix I have put a not right above the qty field indicating the process and asking folks to only select a "qty of 1" and add to cart and then repeat the process for each additional attendee. I will see if this works :)
Thanks, d. |

I would just modify the template so the qty textbox isn't used (or is hidden). |

You could probably set the visible="false" property on the qty box but you'd need to do that on the cart page too otherwise the customer could change it there.

Thanks Guys,
I will keep that in mind as an option. My only problem with that method is that approx 30% of my business is the registration type (that captures info and causes this issue) and the other 70% is normal ticket sales where I do want to allow the user to elect as many as they want in the QTY field.
Thanks for the input :)
