Wildcard product entry in admin on the New Order page

I'd like the ability to create a product on the fly in admin so I can sell something that isn't in the catalog.
SKU
Product name
Small image (in the event that is a sim product)
Text line 1
Text line 2
Text line 3....etc.
Price and shipping need to be editable.
The product would be created and added to a hidden category "Admin Specials" so the shopper can come back and see the order just like normal, and re-order if necessary. This would be a "one customer access" product, like a one-product private store.
The advantage to making the product on the fly: Easier to enter than making a new product. It won't be found via 'search' so it won't be ordered by anyone else, consistency of order handling.
I've taken phone orders for a variation on a product that isn't available via the choices on the product page. I had to clone and alter the product, order it, then make it non-active. PITA! |

This would be wonderful. I am in full support of something like this. This would get used alot.

My entire clientbase would benefit from this.
To expand, it would be nice to see a 'set' of products like you're talking about that can be added and quickly referenced (no public view) for a CSR. This would apply in the form of established handling charges, phone order charges, etc. |
