In BV2004 you could have the message say whatever you would like, i.e. Item is Back Ordered, PRE-ORDER NOW and etc. Also, I know when there is not enough product in stock and an item is set to Remove from Store it will tell the customer, only 6 left, if some day, maybe with BVC6, the same feature could be implemented for back ordered items that would be great.

I like the custom backordered message option. Let's me place extra items like estimated shipping dates on certain products, explain a little bit more as too why a product is backordered, etc... |

What would also be great would be a field where you could enter a "Probable restock date" for an item out of stock. If this were part of the Batch Inventory screen, it would be easier to edit. |

Backordered
Inventory Qty. In Stock is a good one
I like the idea of an "Email Me When Instock" Link or button
Kind of like the "Email This Page" or "Email a Friend"
Only have it sent directly to the merchant.
[customers name] would like to be notified when this item is back instock.

I like the idea of back in stock notification, and ability to notify when the expected date of restock. |
