I regularly order from a supplier with a 400+ page paper catalog. Their web catalog is a beast and I prefer to browse and jot down parts to order during the week.

I then go to their web catalog and enter the SKUs directly into an order form. Very easy, and I'm also able to look up old orders and shop from those - all without combing through categories and sub-sub categories. I know we can now repeat an order in My Account, but you need to add the entire order and then remove the items you don't want to order.

This could be as simple as a content block with a text entry box sim. to the search box. Typing anything into it fills the cart or opens the product page if choices need to be made. This effectively by-passes the search page moving you directly to the specific product.

We should also be able to enter a SKU directly on the cart page.

That's a good suggestion. There is a bulk order form add-on for BV2004 that does exactly what you're describing. Would be useful on 5.
