Did anyone read the article in Internet Retailer on states imposing a sales tax if your affiliate is from their state? According to the article, New York, Rhode Island, and North Carolina all have the tax on the books -- regardless of where you are, if you have an affiliate in New York, all sales through that affiliate requires you paying sales tax. Smaller companies are bailing out of affiliate programs or not allowing affiliates from those states.
