A new version of the suite is now released to the web (a term I saw recently for downloadable products, when "released to manufacturing" doesn't make sense). The most dramatic additions are support for Canada Post rates, and the ability to compare anything to anything in the Package Rule and Order Rule providers...including rates. For example, you can now have a rule that looks like this:

* If the rate from "USPS Priority Mail" is less than the rate from "USPS Priority Mail", cost = the rate from "USPS Priority Mail".

You can even compare rates between carriers and display the least cost service.

The Canada Post shipping rate provider supports all Canada Post services, including their package optimization algorithm. That means you can choose to let Canada Post find the optimum fill for the boxes you define, and those boxes are pulled back into BVC5 as suggested packages.

The product that was formally called "Shipping Rate Provider Suite" is now called "Shipping Rate Rule Providers". Your current license will continue to work with the new version. From now on, I'll use the word suite to refer to my collection of shipping rate providers that all share common features like packaging rules, Google Checkout support, etc.

Hello Andy,

I presently am having a few issues with APO and Canada orders. At the present time we calculate APO orders based on the weight. So I have set rules based on the price of the package. As for Canada orders, the website give this error when a customer attempts to use USPS To Be Determined. Contact Store for Details....

We are having to run over to the post office to calculate shipping or visiting the USPS website.

I'd like to streamline both of these USPS shipping methods and curious which package would accomodate my needs.

Thanks

I'm sorry I missed your post. Unfortunately, I don't understand your current configuration. Where are you shipping from? Do you only use USPS? Are you currently using USPS real-time rates in BVC5? Are you also using my Shipping Rate Rule Providers? If you'd like, you can take screen shots of your current shipping methods and send them to me via email.
