Search Plus is a new add-on for BV Commerce, that adds an option of searching by category and by custom pages. If your site has a good few categories, it’s easy for the client to get lost in the maze – or indeed, to miss the product altogether if the search is done using general phrasing. Ostensibly, if the client finds a category page instead of empty result, they’re more likely to become your customer. Just check such sites as ebay or amazon – as well as showing the products searched for, the pages show the results of categories’ search, placed in the highly visible area of the page.

The add-on also incorporates all the possibilities offered by the Advanced Search plug-in, which adds advanced options for categories and custom pages search.

Supplementary to your products, you could provide your clients with some interesting information by creating custom pages – we’ve added an option to enable the search through such pages.

The user simply enters search terms and instantly receives the results for products, categories or custom pages. This gives the user maximum information available from your site according to his search, which in turn gives much higher chance of the user becoming your customer.
