Going forward will developers be able to release add-ons which will be installable for the hosed version?

Developers will certainly be able to create modules that use the API to access hosted stores. We are currently evaluating additional options including callback URLs for specific events and an AppStore like area where developers could publish add-ons. Nothing is set in stone yet.

Yes, we have are preliminary system in place using MEF to load plugin modules. It should make it into a release in the next few months but we need to make sure things are tested well.
