A heads up for those that may still maintain a BV2004 site using Avecom Smart URL. All is well is you are using IIS6 and Windows 2003 but you will run into issues running the site on an IIS7 server. The Smart URL will not work. I have heard there is a solution using Helicon Ape http://www.helicontech.com/ape/ however I have not explored it as of yet. |

It works for me. www.BizPen.com is hosted on Svr 2008 Virtual Machine in IIS7.

Thanks TJ. Wow, that is great. Hmm, even had Avecom involved trying to get this working on the server and no luck. Anything special you recall doing to get it going on this server? I am in the process of upgrading this site to BV5.8 now but I would still like to know what's up with the BV2004 site. |

Not to sure. When I moved the site from Svr 2003 & II6 to Svr 2008 & IIS7, my issue was connection string, once I got that correct, it was all good.

If memory serves me correctly if/when you change the connection string you have to reinstall Smart URL for it to pick up the new connection string. |
