Hello,

Would appreciate any and all feedback on our new BV5 site: http://www.georgehowe.com.

We wanted to go live before the holiday season really kicked in so I rushed it up with still some work to be done on my end, but all in all, it's ready.

This summer we decided to switch from our SF6 store to BV5. Without a good grasp of CSS to get this off the ground, I hired Wanita at www.fitsmedesigns.com. I can't say enough good things about her. She is creative, responsive, has a great eye for design, knows this software VERY WELL and has a tenacious work ethic. She met our budget, too . . . just a real joy to work with.

Thanks for checking it out.

Joe

I want to join Joe in saying that Wanita is great to work with from my point of view as well (as a vendor to FitsMeDesigns).

Very nicely done. I only have a small pick. Is there a way to hide the "review" box until a review as been written. Product after product is blank and it looks like nothing has been sold yet. A small "Write a review" text/button will do it. The large empty grey box calls a lot of attention away from the product.

Thanks for the great comments! I had a lot of fun with GeorgeHowe.com, Joe was very receptive to my ideas. The flexibility of BVC5 is truly amazing to me... I keep finding new and better ways of setting things up that allow the merchant to change things up without "breaking" the design. I had fun playing with designs and ideas, but Joe did the real work with the catalog. Good luck Joe and GeorgeHowe.com!

Very nice work to both of you. Someone has to know the business and with a great designer you get what you came up with.

Two things I think may be good to visit:

On the search make the search text box look ready for something to type in. It looks like it is set a 2-3 columns. Maybe make it 10 or so, or maybe in the CSS fix the search box input width 110 to 130px.

On the Headernavmenu the background extends above the background as you mouseover, I'd like to see how it looks tightened up a bit.

Good luck with your store!

The bright colors really make an impact. Will you change them after the holidays?

Wondering why you have the Hacker Safe logo so prominent in the header. As a result of customer feedback?

Thanks,

Ed
