I have a product that you can select an option to have something on the right or left side when adding to cart.
So i selected the product and choose to have on right side.
Then I go back to product and want to choose another one, but this time with the option for the left side.
So i want 1 product with right side and 1 product on left side.
Well when i choose the second product and add to cart, it is just modifying the previously selected item already in cart. It is not adding it as a second product.
Am i missing something? I have tried using both Choices and Modifiers and same results.
Ok, i just retested it. If I return to the product page from the Cart page by selecting the product in the cart then the product is just modified and not added as a second product. If i go back to the home page and to to the product from there. Then i can select the product with the other option and it ads to cart as a product with other option. |

When you click the product from the cart the "Add to Cart" button should be replaced with a "Save Changes" button to denote the UI difference. However, I believe that there is a bug in 5.8, that we've fixed in 2013, that doesn't actually change the button. |

There was a "Save Changes" button, but the "Add to Cart" button was also still there. |
