I used to be able to ship a non-shipping item from Admin. It was just a work-around but I can't do that anymore with 2013. Why would I want to do this??? When we modify a customer-provided item, we charge a service fee and need to ship their item back to them. How are others doing this?
A good solution for me would be if the shipping cost could be modified in admin before the order was submitted. I could then make the service shipable and add an arbitrary weight - then modify the cost by hand and generate the order.
Even better, would be to create a shipping option: Ship from Store > Custom weight. I could then enter the custom weight when creating the order in Admin.
Any thoughts?

We'll see if we can get this into SP1 and also include the ability to discount an order before it is submitted (this has been requested numerous times). |
