This may be a good feature to add in on a future release of BVC.

one of my customers has this request, and I'm wondering if anyone else out in the BVC world has implemented this. They have had this feature custom added to their BVC2004 and BVC5.x stores, but now that they have upgraded to BVC2013, their developer can no longer be found. So hence the question....

when in the admin section, and taking a phone order via the ORDERS / NEW ORDER, my customer would like to have an option under the shipping options (when the shipping options come up) enabling them to override the shipping costs and enter a flat amount of their choosing for shipping cost. They take a number of phone orders and provide special $ off for certain customers.
For example, if special customer JDoe calls up and places an order, and 2day fedex cost is $10.00, they would click the override option and type in $3.00 for shipping cost, to save this special customer $7 on shipping

Now, before the replies start coming in, I have discussed the coupon piece with them (setting up free shipping or discount on shipping rates), but this feature is something they have had custom added to their store for as long as they can remember, and they do not want to change the way they do things. They do not want to have multiple coupons out there to remember (and potentially have a front-end visitor discover and use)

So, has anyone implemented this type of thing in the past, and if so, what would you charge to custom program or share code for?
