I was curious how the functionality of the "Show/Hide content based on query string (e.g. http://www.medsupplier.com/AnyPage.aspx?name=value)" works. Just noticed it.

Yes, that's one of those cool little nuggests of functionality that we introduced in BVC 2013. Basically what that does is only show the HTML Content Block if the specified query string is present. A good use for this is showing select customers a promo code such as when they click a link from a marketing email or PPC link. |

OK that's what I thought. That's really cool! Are there any thoughts to maybe be able to set the QueryStringName and QueryStringValue for each HTML block instead of in the site terms.
Just curious, you could set up different html blocks (promo codes, advertisements, etc) for different product categories and or pages already on the site (think faceted search by manufacturer).
Either way this is good to know! Thanks!

Probably should have ticked the box before asking this lol! Perfect... exactly what I was looking for.
Another thought of how this can be implemented... create HTML blocks with unique codes / coupons with PPC advertisements. When a customer calls and mentions the code for a savings... we can now track PPC orders to some degree.

And you always have the Sales By Coupon Code report that makes it easier to attribute to a given campaign (assuming that it uses a unique promo code). |
