Products that are no longer active on the site are able to be ordered when a customer views their order history and copies a past order to their cart. The site is running BV 2013. Is this a known issue, and if so, is there a fix?

Yes, this is a known bug that was fixed in BV Commerce 2015.

Thanks Aaron, do you happen to have details on what was changed in order to fix this? Or is doing an upgrade the only option?

If you have a current BV.NEXT plan you can submit a support ticket and request details for the fix. Of course, we would always encourage you to upgrade to the latest version as there have been many enhancements in BV Commerce 2015 and 2015 SP1 over the 2013 version that you're running.
