We had a new customer order through an affiliate link that contains a coupon code for first-time customers. This particular order did not receive a discount. I checked the link, code, and HTML to see if there were any inconsistencies, but everything is correct. How is a "new customer" determined? By IP address, log-in information, etc? Thanks.

The "Per customer" limitation on Offers only works when your store requires account creation. |

We've thought about altering this behavior, possibly looking at both the user account (if applicable) and email address. While the email address is generally the most 'unique' bit of customer account info, it's also quite easy to circumvent by using a different address. |

For a smaller company like us, I don't think that would be an issue to catch and charge the rest of the amount for the purchase. For larger businesses though, I think that would be problematic. Please keep us informed if you determine another way.

Have the parameters of "per customer" offers been changed for the new update to include checking for email addresses instead of accounts? We're losing out on customers taking advantage of "per customer" offers because they aren't creating accounts. We don't want to force anyone to create an account to take advantage, nor do we want to stop using these kinds of offers.
