Sub-Category Displaying Products and Sub-Sub-Category

We are launching a specific group of products that fall under one category (IBJJF for reference). IBJJF is a sub-category of Jujitsu Belts, which itself is a sub-category of belts. What display template do I need to use to have the products that exist in the Jujitsu Belts category be visible while also having the sub-category IBJJF be visible? I have found an example of this here:

I tried the Grid with Subs display before posting, but it removes all products from displaying, and only shows the sub-sub category (which I am now unable to locate on the back end for some reason).
Is the removal of products from displaying an error?
