BVC 5 - Requirements
Listed below are the minimum system and configuration requirements for using BVC
5. You’ll need to meet all applicable requirements, including System Requirements,
Database Requirements, and System Configuration Requirements.

Windows XP Home edition does not contain a necessary component for running or installing
BVC 5.

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (MS SQL) is only
required if you wish to install and run the web site on your local computer. BVC
5 includes the ability to FTP the web site to a hosted location.

SQL Express may have different system requirements than BVC 5’s normal system requirements.

Permissions for database creation require ability to execute stored procedures. |

Configuration Requirements |
|
Internet Information Services (IIS) |
IIS is a component installed automatically or manually with one of the operating
systems listed in the System Requirements. If you’re unsure if IIS is installed,
you can complete the steps below:
- Click Start (referring to start menu)
- Click Control Panel
- Click Add or Remove Programs
- Click Add/Remove Windows Components. The Windows Components Wizard appears
Follow the on-screen instructions to install, remove, or add components to IIS.

Microsoft .NET 2 Framework |
The Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 installs the .NET Framework runtime and
associated files required to run applications developed on the .NET Framework v2.0
(BVC 5)
The framework is available free from http://www.microsoft.com or from Windows
Update.
Windows Update is a free utility that you can run from Internet Explorer
to scan your computer for possible updates. This option is found under Tools > Windows
Update.
