The first beta of SP2 is out, but it is a full install only with no patches. The second beta of SP2 is being worked on currently and will include patches so that you can upgrade a SP1 store. |

Sorry to keep asking, but is there any eta on a version of SP2 with the conversion from SP1? SP2 fixes some critical things for me, but without a conversion from the current system, I can't really test it.

SP2 Beta 2 is roughly a week or two out. So hopefully by the 19th or the 20th we will have a patch out. |

Do you have a firmer date on releasing SP2 beta 2 with a migration from an SP1 database?

And this version will include the ability to migrate an SP1 database?

Yes, beta 2 will include an installer but we are still recommending that beta 2 be used on non-live stores. Make a copy of your store and database and then install SP2 beta 2 as an upgrade.

We aren't planning to go live until you release SP2. However, testing without our database is pretty much a waste of time. I have no interest in starting from scratch and creating categories, items, pricing levels, clients, etc just to test.
The current bug with incorrect category counts is a show-stopper for us to convert from 2004, since we have about 50% of are items marked as inactive for reasons that are sound but that I won't bore you with.
Will the next release after beta 2 be the production release, and do you know when that will come out?

Kevin,
You will be able to test your database with SP2 beta 2 by making a copy of your database first. You won't have to recreate products/categories to test.
Yes, the next release after beta 2 will be the final production release of SP2. We are expecting beta 2 to be extremely solid and if everything goes as planned the final SP2 will be released just a week or two after beta 2.

So when you release sp2 beta 2 in a few hours, how do I go about downloading it?

So where is beta 2? I set aside the whole weekend to test, and there is no release, no post about a delay, no nothing.

As mentioned in the SP2 beta forum we had a last minute installer error on Friday afternoon and delayed the launch until Monday.

Hi Marcus, where is the SP2 forum? I have access to SP1 but cannot see SP2. Can I be added?
