I am having major issues on my website:

1- Shipping isn't working. I am not able to get any rates.

2- System isn't communicating with google checkout. Customers' credit accounts are being charged the same amount for shipping cost as the product price. I didnt keep a copy of the error message but Google Checkout sent me a notification stating something like 'www...../google.asp is not able to login to www.nicegesture.com...'. May be google wasnt able to enterand get the shipping data and thats why it charged an extra product price as a shipping charge?

3- Error log is full of connection errors to http://www.nicegesture.com/WebResource.axd?d... just today I have more than 10 pages of errors. I opened a ticket for that before but I was told that it wasnt important. Well if its not important, why is it in my error log? It is not in the page code. It seems like it is a part of the software and it comes out when it renders the page on the web. I do not know but I checked other websites with BV, they do not have it. I have no idea what it is or how to fix it.

I would really appreciate if I can get some help about this.

* What shipping provider(s) are you using? By Weight, FedEx, UPS, ...?

* Your Google Merchant page keeps a record of every error that ever occurred while trying to contact your site. What errors are recorded there? During Google Checkout, Google will contact your site to ask for the shipping cost. If your shipping methods are not returning any cost, then Google will use the default shipping costs that you defined in BV Admin &gt; Options &gt; Site Settings &gt; Payment &gt; Google Checkout.

* I loaded the default page of your site (http://www.nicegesture.com/) and used Fiddler to track all of the requests. There were 2 requests for /WebResource.axd and both completed sucessfully. Do you know what page is having the problem?

Just wondering about all of those errors... http://www.nicegesture.com/WebResource.axd?d... Any chance you had used this URL on another site? I've got a boatload of errors showing Google, MSN, etc., search bots looking for pages I don't have anymore. None of my BV5 pages has a "?" in them, and ".axd" seems wrong for a BVC site.

I get the same kind of errors... old pages getting hits. Gotta fix this.

1- I use UPS. I configured the shipping rates based on weight. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't. I received numerous phone calls within last week from buyers because they couldn't get the shipping rates.

2- I checked out the Google configuration. It seems correct. I don't know why Google can't access to my website.

3- My error log shows it is coming from the home page. here is one of the errors from today:
<br>Session:<br>To:http://www.nicegesture.com/WebResource.axd?d=OyBqegAWojL08kzI4wcIVw2&t=632976281792187500 <br>From:http://216.239.51.104/search?q=cache:4GCKeYPirZUJ:www.nicegesture.com/+nicegesture&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us<br>User:72.76.19.115(72.76.19.115)<br>Agent:Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)...

and there are too many errors like this starting with googlebot. I track my site through Google Analytics. It also shows there that I have 10 URLs coming back 404 starting with .../WebResource... this XML... do not know what it is there for... where it is located.. what it is for... why it isn't in the source code and shows up mysteriously when you pull it up in a browser.

Thanks for the information. I do not know ASP that well. So I can't say I understand what the article is saying completely. I do not want to make a change in the source code before BV techs approves it. I will see what they say tomorrow.

My main concern is the Shipping issue. It definitely needs to be fixed first.

1- There are 2 shipping options. First one is UPS, which is configured based on weight. Second is the custom FREE SHIPPING option, which is based on order total (If the order total exceeds $100, then $0 shipping charge).

2- Google Checkout setting... Default Shipping Type: Amount per weight unit... all the other values are $0 like Base Default Shipping Amount. I thought that every time a shipping rate request comes from Google Checkout, those shipping types and the rates are automatically adjusted depending on the criteria. For example: if a customer is purchasing $120 worth of merchandise, then google checkout gives them a $0 shipping charge after communicating with my store. If it is less than $100, then again google communicates with my store and give them the UPS shipping rate that my site gets from UPS. Just like it is on the site... is it not like that? or do we have to give a flat rate for shipping rates specifically for Google?

3- Here is the latest issue it shows in Google Checkout:

Time of Occurance: Jun 30, 2007 10:32:08 PM EDT

ERROR: We encountered an error trying to access your server at https://www.nicegesture.com/googlenotify.aspx -- the error we got is: chunked stream ended unexpectedly

"I thought that every time a shipping rate request comes from Google Checkout, those shipping types and the rates are automatically adjusted depending on the criteria."

Exactly right. However if the shipping rate request from Google Checkout fails, then the default rates are used. (The default rates are sent with the initial request....in english the initial request would be something like "please collect payment for these items using custom shipping rates, but if you can't reach me to retrieve the shipping rates then use these default values".)

It looks like Google Checkout can not retrieve the custom shipping rates so it is using the default values in some way.

The error you found "chunked stream ended unexpectedly" is unusual. I think either chunked transfer encoding is broken on your site (unlikely) or some error has occurred in googlenotify.aspx and ASP.NET is redirecting the client (Google Checkout) to the error page with includes both secure and insecure elements (which can confuse a headless client like Google Checkout).

You will probably need to open a support ticket at BV Software to resolve this...I think it is probably specific to your site.

1. Go to BV Admin &gt; Options &gt; Site Settings &gt; Shipping. How many shipping methods are listed? Are they based on the UPS or By Weight shipping providers?

2. Go to BV Admin &gt; Options &gt; Site Settings &gt; Payment &gt; Google Checkout Edit, what is the setting for "Default Shipping Type"? What is the "Base Default Shipping Amount"?

3. Sign on to Google and go to your Google Merchant Checkout page. Select Settings &gt; Integration. The bottom half of the page is a list of Integration Issues. What are the most recent issues?

WebResource.axd is a "fake" page. It is used to retrieve common bits of javascript or css. When a server running ASP.NET sees a request for WebResource.axd, it examines the querystring (i.e. d=OyBqegAWojL08kzI4wcIVw2&amp;t=632976281792187500) to find out which resource is being requested and where it can be found. For example http://www.nicegesture.com/WebResource.axd?d=2caBma66VaLSrVAVI4W3VLj3417-VRfn16rOU5KqQqU1&amp;t=633120561760000000 will retrieve Anthem javascript from the Anthem.dll file (the javascript is embedded inside of Anthem.dll, and WebResource.axd knows how to get it out).

UPDATE: When I wrote the post the URL above actually did retrieve the Anthem javascript. Now it returns a 404 error. I don't know why it no longer works.

I suspect Google has indexed an older version of your page that used different bits of script or css that no longer exist, such as an older version of Anthem.

It does not work because there is a bug in the URL rewriter component that tried to access the session object when a .axd resource is requested but there is no session object.
The fix is to create a custom url-rewriter, add it to the list or urlrewriters and if check if the url contains .axd? and then return true to block the standard bvc url rewriters check for the url.

There is a tool call ISAPI Rewrite. This is used to fix all the errors and redirect all the old pages to you home page or any page you want. IT been strugglin with it however to get the Html.ini file configured. If anyone has used this and configured there html file I would greatly appreciate some help!!
This is the way to go I have used it before but it was pre-configured for me at the time.

Thanks,
