Our checkout is not working.... Currently we are getting routed back to the default home page.
I am not sure why? I had to close the store so I could resolve.

The log is showing an HTTP Status Code <SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; COLOR: #1f497d; FONT-FAMILY: 'Calibri','sans-serif'">302

<SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; COLOR: #1f497d; FONT-FAMILY: 'Calibri','sans-serif'">What we’re seeing is a symptom of the actual problem. Looking at the HTTP requests, it looks odd. It looks like it bounces from HTTPS to HTTP on the checkout page (via the rewritten URL) and then on a postback it uses the non-rewritten URL. I wonder if it may be server related.

David,

Is your database full? If you maxed out space on the database this could happen.

I did check. Everything looks ok for storage and growth.
We are using 24 megs of 100 megs allocated.
Autogrowth by 1 Megs, Unrestricted growth.

I ran a piece of software called Beyond Compare 3. I was looking for differences in the code. I had a backup up from a while back. I was not able to find any significant changes. The few modifications I have made are cosmetic in nature on the aspx pages and css pages. I just do not know how to pinpoint what is causing this checkout page to jump to the default home page. From the looks of it the pages flips to SSL security and then wants to jump out of SSL security and then back in to a SSL secure page. Is this something possibly to do with ports on the server? What would cause the page to not post and then get deflected back to the home page.

My IT guy has been trying to tighten up the security on the server? Could he have done something at the server level that might cause this page route to break?

I thought it might have been the SSL... But then I shut that off and same issue. I will turn SSL back on at the BVC5 Options level. ??? Stumped.

If your IT guy added something like URLScan as a security measure that could affect the checkout. We pass an authentication token between non-ssl and ssl sides and that may trigger URLSCan.

I would ask your IT guy exactly what he did.

Is it possible that you copied 1 or more existing controls and didn't rename the codebehind files for them?

At the least you should try clearing your cached files from the ASP.NET temporary folder located in /Windows/Microsoft.Net/Framework/v2......./Temporary ASP.NET Files

Problem still occuring.

Is it possible that you copied 1 or more existing controls and didn't rename the codebehind files for them? This would show up in Beyond Compare 3 as I compare versions wouldn't it.

I was able to delete the files in the C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\BVC5 folder
I am not able to delete the file in the C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root folder.

To delete I had to shut off all of the Application Pools. All Temporary ASP.NET Files have been deleted.

I restarted the Application Pools and the Web Server.

Problem still occuring.

Did you find out from your IT guy exactly what he did? If the site was working fine before I suspect that his changes caused the problem.

Resolved:

Marcus, We just setup run a clean install of the BVC5 in a virtual server. Then I ran ran Beyond Compare 3 against the clean install.
I found the problem. There were 2 files missing in the App_Browsers Folder Files: form.browser and genericmozilla5.browser

Once I moved these two files to the server everything starting to work agian.

What a great tool Beyond Compare is.. Very slick. Thank you Aaron Sherrick for recommending this tool.

Marcus and Aaron Thank you very much for your help. Thank you! Keep up the great work.
