My question is why do we have to continually do this? I've had to rename the bvkeys.config file at least 6 times since upgrading and that just seems way wrong. Is there going to be a fix for this soon? Thanks. |

I agree. I have a lot of heartburn about these type of issues that still gloom over my site. |

If you are experiencing this issue, please use the contact form on the homepage at bvsoftware.com to request technical support. We are looking into a few cases where customers are asked to replace encryption frequently and we need to look for similarities in configuration. You should not have to replace/rename these files on a regular basis.

Another tip to look at also - especially if moving sites to new server......tip from Marcus:
Check the web.config to see if it's pointing to somewhere different for encryption key location. |

Deleting these config files did not work for me. Anybody have any other suggestions? I am on version 5.8. |

Hmmmmm....it seems that this error started happening after I removed some payment options that were enabled (credit card, PO, gift cert, etc). Re-enableing them didn't clear the error on old orders but new orders are showing properly. Very weird. |
