Hey all,
I believe that this varies based on your customers, for BV2004 I've had a 50/50 response on the "Bill To Same Address" being checked or unchecked.
On one side, customers have said to my clients, I didn't realize it was using my shipping address so we've made it default to unchecked.
Other sites, we've left it checked and have received no complaints or hit any errant charges.
View attached as this is what I'm doing on the checkout process to clearly draw attention to it. It's red, anyone using the internet responds to red. (well...mostly)
While seemingly small, I think this is major usability point to address as it's the last stop for the customer.
Have any of you merchants out there run into any problems with the bill to box set to checked as the default? When I change the checked value to false within the page code (checkout.aspx), the billing address does not appear. I assume this is because the anthem panel needs to be activated by the user (i.e. unchecking the box) in order to load the address fields.
Do any of you see value in BV providing the ability to change the default (Check/Unchecked) value via the admin to compensate for the potential confuson?
Do you see value in having the bill to address fields appearing at default, and if the the box is checked, the fields are filled in with the shipping address?
You know I vote yes...LOL....
