Before I upgraded to 2018, I would stay signed in as an admin indefinitely, without having to sign in again. Maybe that is not safe, but the new 2018 system boots me out constantly. It's driving us nuts over here. What are my options for lengthening the logged in time? Is this a function of BVC or my server host?

Are you using the super admin account (i.e. bvin = 30)? |

I'm using "New Administrator" account. Is that the super admin? If not, which one is bvin=30?

Edit your user in the admin and check the query string "id" parameter in the URL. That is the bvin value for your user account. |

I have two accounts I've set up for myself. The one I normally use is id=135. The other is id=30. How did this become the "super admin"? How does it get assigned? Can I also make others a super admin? What does that do for my logged-in time?

There is only one super-admin (30) and it cannot be changed. For PCI Compliance this user must always re-login after their session expires. If you have the "remember user passwords" settings enabled (Options >> Site Settings >> Users) every other user should remain logged in. |
