Hi there, I've noticed that there are bunch of shopping carts created by the same email under the Reports--->Shopping Carts. I was wondering if I can BLOCK this user/bot from accessing my site? Please see attached screenshot to get an idea. Thank you. michael_b attached the following image(s): bot-1.jpg (195kb) downloaded 9 time(s). bot-2.jpg (161kb) downloaded 6 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register.

The storebotmail.joonix.net bot(s) can be frustrating. In order to block the bot from your site completely you would have to utilize a service such as Cloudflare and add/configure a web application firewall (WAF) in front of your website to prevent the bot accessing the site based on its IP address/User agent or other detection mechanisms. Without such a service your options are limited. The bot is just adding products to your stores shopping cart. If you are using a cart recovery service you should be able to filter known bad email addresses/domains before sending the cart recovery email. BV Commerce does have fraud filters which will prevent the bot from being able to checkout. To block this domain navigate to Admin > Site Settings > Fraud Checks and add storebotmail.joonix.net and joonix.net to the fraudulent domain list.

Hi there.
I have created/opened Cloudflare account for my site but the BOT still able to create bunch of shopping carts. The person who is managing the Cloudflare account asked me to find IP address of BOT so he could block it on Cloudflare by checking the Log file. Where can I find the Log file and bot IP address?
Thank you

You will need the IIS log files which you will need to get from your server. However, it might be difficult to correlate the log file entries with a particular user. That said, bots usually make a ton of requests so they should stick out relative to the smaller number of requests that a real user makes. |
