BVC 5 - Search Options

Search settings allow the admin to configure the catalog search on the store.

“Show Sort Options” allow you to turn on sort filters the customer can use to narrow down their search. These filters include categories, manufacturers, vendors, price range and type properties (Searchable Property).

In Figure 1, we’ve turned on the sort options and configured some filters we’d like to include on the search page. We’ve also added two type properties to our “Searchable Property” filter, Gender and Sleeve Length.

Figure 2 above displays the search page on the store. Each filter drop down list that appears on this page will automatically get populated with the stores data. Notice our “Gender” drop down list, which is actually a type property, displays on the store as a searchable option.

The customer can use these filters to narrow down the search results and find products faster.
